EXEN International Sdn. Bhd., established in 2011, is a leading service provider in the energy sector — spanning oil & gas, petrochemical, renewable energy, and energy efficiency industries, as well as working closely with process licensors and technology providers to deliver integrated solutions.
We specialize in Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) and Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) services.
Our in-house, multidisciplinary engineering capabilities cover process & process safety, civil & structural, mechanical & piping, instrumentation & control, electrical, process and process safety, complemented by strong procurement sourcing, construction and commissioning expertise.
EXEN’s agile team delivers engineering excellence from greenfield projects to brownfield and asset optimisation, equipment life extension and facility rejuvenation projects, ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable performance throughout the asset lifecycle.

Our Milestone
2016 – Strategic Shift to Full-Scope EPCM / EPCC Services
Transitioned from consultancy roots into a full-fledged, multidisciplinary Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) and Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC) service provider, expanding capabilities across key engineering disciplines.
2017 – First International Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Marked EXEN’s first international venture, successfully delivering projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — paving the way for hundreds of subsequent global assignments.
2020 – First EPCC Project: 1,000MT LPG Spherical Tank at Westport
Achieved a major milestone with the turnkey delivery of a 1,000MT LPG spherical tank project — covering the full scope from engineering to commissioning. This success established EXEN’s credibility in brownfield tank terminal upgrades and complex project execution.
2022 – Completion of the BIOMEG Pilot Plant
Delivered the world’s first palm oil–based Monoethylene Glycol (BioMEG) pilot plant for PETRONAS, showcasing Malaysia’s innovation in renewable chemical production. EXEN led the complete engineering and construction effort, demonstrating technical leadership in biomass-to-chemical conversion.
2024 – Strategic Collaboration with TECHNOEDIF Engenharia, Portugal
Formed a strategic partnership to enhance multidisciplinary project delivery and strengthen technical depth, innovation, and regional competitiveness across Asia and Europe.
